about
It’s the little things that make life enjoyable. A sunrise/sunset, laughter with friends, the first sip of your favorite drink, the way someone hugs you or highlights who you are etc. When a person leaves our lives, we say it’s the little things I miss most. It’s those little things that bring them back to us unexpectedly. I wrote this song to say: we ought to recognize and cherish the little things all around us more often.
lyrics
Verse 1:
See the campfire glowing underneath the stars, It melts my fears away
To hear you whisper sweetly, "I love who you are" --Despite how life will change.
Chorus:
It’s easy to neglect familiar faces (we should)
Lift up each other's strengths
‘Cause life's too short for us not to take more moments to
Cherish the little things (life brings)
instrumental
Verse 2:
Hear the choir of insects and owls sing their song
Just like where we grew up
When you splashed cold water on my face, and I got paint on your nylon lace
What a mess, but how much fun we always had!
-Chorus
Bridge
(So) hug your brothers, and your sisters; make someone’s day
Explore more cities, take more pictures, don't let life slip away
And in all the times a loved one cares to look you in the eyes
Be there, until you say goodbyes
-Chorus
